The Art of Flamenco
January 21
Arts and culture are at the epicenter of what makes New Mexico such an inspiring destination. From painting and sculpture to song and dance, there are a number of ways to connect with the passion for arts our city has. Enter, Flamenco.
Flamenco dance is one of the most passionate, energetic and powerful art forms to both take in and learn. With a rich history originating in Spain, the rhythm and art of each stomp of a dancer’s foot, in line with a guitar and hand clap, Flamenco is a living and breathing interpretation of emotion. Try your foot at this beautiful art form locally at EmiArteFlamenco, a company launched in 2014 comprised of local and international artists. Performances and classes work to bring the community together with a concentration on the love for Flamenco and a desire to support the local Santa Fe artistic community. While taking in a show is powerful, indulging in a class or series of classes during your stay will bring you even closer to your own inner emotions. Drop-in classes are available for both adults and children (make it a family affair!) Get all of the dancing details here and we’ll see you on the dance floor!
